Project EverGreen Publishes
2007 Because Green Matters Calendar
and Photography Contest Winners
National non-profit organization Project EverGreen challenged Americans to photograph their favorite green spaces, and they did not disappoint; hundreds of submissions rolled in. Winning photos of all types of well-maintained green spaces - lawns, landscapes, trees, gardens, parks, sports fields and golf courses - are showcased in the inaugural edition of the 2007 Because Green Matters Calendar.
“It is evident that landscapes shape our culture,” says Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen. “The submissions ranged from parks, golf courses and public areas to lawns and private gardens. The amateur photographers truly captured the spirit of America’s love for green spaces.”
Because Project EverGreen’s mission is to promote the environmental, economic and lifestyle benefits of green spaces, each submission was judged on its exemplification of these characteristics. There was no entry fee or payment necessary to win.
The 2007 Because Green Matters Calendar is being sold as a fund-raiser, and winning photos are available as a series of screen savers. To order a calendar, please visit our products page.
