Sports Field Renovations

Project EverGreen is spearheading an effort by local landscape contractors to renovate school and community sports fields.

Each year, school-age kids in the Milwaukee area are exposed to the benefits of green spaces by participating in outdoor school and community sports programs. Yearly fertilizer applications and aeration allow sports field to maintain a lush and healthy playing area.

Pictured above: Melinda Myers, internationally renowned horticulturalist, Mark Curnow and Heather Schuster, Terra-Firma Landscape, Inc., volunteered during Project EverGreen and the Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association Sports Field Renovation Day on November 6, 2010. Approximately 30 fields within the Greater Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin areas were fertilized and aerated.
